Research interests: lattice field theory, numerical methods.
I am primarily interested in lattice QCD, this provides the only known, ab-initio, systematically improvable, non-perturbative description of the strong interaction that binds quarks and gluons together.
Calculations within lattice QCD are computationally very expensive requiring large resources and performant algorithms and codes. Together with the expertise of other faculty here at York (Anthony Francis, Randy Lewis and Kim Maltman) we have been able to predict and measure the existence of new four-quark bound states with lattice QCD.
We have also worked on projects determining physical constants that are fundamental inputs to the standard model of particle physics.
